Amongst the rugged mountains, lush countryside, and resort-studded shoreline is Corfu Town, the impressive historic center declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its cultural heritage reflects years spent under Venetian, French and British rule before it was united with Greece in 1864. Corfu Town is flanked by two imposing Venetian fortresses, features winding medieval lanes, a French-style arcade and the grand Palace of St. Michael and St. George. The restaurants, hotels, caterers and numerous other partners we work with all do their best to accommodate special dietary requests from Tauck guests. We therefore cannot guarantee that all dietary requests can be accommodated at every meal.

Savvy travelers know, there is a huge difference in the type of cruises in Greece. The all-inclusive sailings feature five-star dining and the only "raw food" menu at sea with dishes prepared using raw, organic and vegan ingredients. Based in Athens, Variety Cruises is a family-owned line that provides more local immersion of the Greek Islands. Variety sails from the largest and southernmost island of Crete to the beautiful Cyclades archipelago, including Kea, Santorini, Mykonos and the neighboring UNESCO-protected archaeological site on Delos.

The all-night parties of Mykonos to romantic sunsets over the Caldera of Santorini the Cyclades has a reputation as a magical place. The larger islands are home to rows of beautiful tavernas, panoramic restaurants and wine cellars for fine dining aficionados. Sun worshippers will find a beach for every taste in a place where a cloud is so rare it seems almost a curiosity.
As our yacht approaches the spectacular cliffs rising from the deep azure sea, you’ll understand the magic of this area, where some say the ruins of Atlantis remain hidden. Visit the village of Oia and see the iconic Santorini blue domes or take a guided tour of Bronze Age excavations at the UNESCO site of Akrotiri. Toast the day with a crisp, cold glass of local Assyrtiko wine and appreciate the magic accessible to small ships like ours. The New York Times calls Folegandros “the most charmingly “Greek” of all the Cyclades.

It certainly was beautiful and I liked the geology of the island. We loved the adjustment’s the captain made to allow us more time to swim and snorkel. We also loved the diversity of the people on the ship and the fact that everyone enjoyed everyone. The fact that this was a small ship allowed us to meet and become friends with everyone on the boat. This allowed us time to truly enjoy each place we visited.
The nine-night Venice to Athens sailing is one of the line's special Wine Voyages featuring wine tastings and winemaker's dinners reflecting the areas being visited. SeaDream mega-yachts SeaDream I and SeaDream II are also available for exclusive private charter. Recreating the golden age of sailing, Star Clipper's 170-passenger tall clipper ship Star Flyer cruises through the Aegean Sea every summer. Passengers experience the thrill of sailing on an elegant four-masted vessel, stopping off at various beautiful destinations along the journey, such as Malaga, Sardinia, Athens, Skiathos and more. These vessels feature top-notch service and cuisine, yet have a wonderful casual vibe. Million-dollar computers operate the sails, and stabilizers allow for a smooth ride.
Socializing here on cruise evenings is popular, with music setting a perfect mood for discussing the memorable events of the day. Paros is the perfect island to just wander the narrow alleyways admiring Cycladic architecture, shopping and dining. Very few cruise ships venture here so aboard a small ship you’ll have the place to yourself. The smaller island of Antiparos, 1km southwest of Paros, is easily reached by car or boat. Visiting Mykonos by small ship means you will dock at the new port, only a short water bus or taxi ride from the main town.
